This section is for sharing my favourite recipes with you, that I hope you will try and enjoy as much as I do. Dishes that are wholesome, full of flavour, incredibly yummy, at times a little bit naughty and best of all super healthy.
- ME and FOOD! I am a massive health foodie! I love to eat nutritious and delicious! Food affects my mood and I want to feel good! The most important principle I follow is to eat my food in it's most natural state wherever I possibly can.
- I cannot go wrong with this. Depending on how strict I am, it will limit processed foods such as bread, milks (plant based for me), pasta, alcohol, coffee, tea, fizzy drinks etc....get the picture? When I am going to consume processed foods I prefer to consume foods that I have processed myself. It is so simple to make my own nut butter, vegan butter, plant-milk, bread, or anything else I put my mind to. The best thing about it is that there are no hidden ingredients, I know exactly what is going into my food and into my body.
- I'm a busy working mum of two, so I have to think ahead and have a "food bank" that I can draw upon when I need to rustle up something quick. The recipe's I will share with you are simple guidelines - with my suggested ingredients. At any time you can dump mine, and experiment with your own. It is my hope that you start to "feel the food", so that you're cooking becomes intuitive, easy and personal to your needs.
- It’s not just what we eat, but how we source our food that is important. Buying as much local produce as possible in order to support local farmers. Buying organic, saying no to GMO. Noticing whether our produce is from Africa or Spain and choosing Spain because it means less carbon footprint or even better - Britain. When it comes to food if we think small the impact will be big.
