Brown Rice Porridge

I've used brown rice, however this porridge is perfect for using up any leftover grain. Rice, millet, quinoa, whatever you have in your fridge. Of course you can also cook it from scratch too.
Your choice of grain - I am using short grain brown rice in this recipe
Milk (I use almond or rice)
Extras – I use any or all of the following: dried figs, apricots, raisins, almonds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds
Fresh chopped banana
If you are cooking from scratch, use 3 parts water to 1 part grain. Unless you are using quinoa in which case use 2 AND 1/2 parts water to 1 part grain.
