About Corrie

"I’m not a teacher: only a fellow traveller of whom you’ve asked the way. I pointed ahead – ahead of myself as well as you."
George Bernard Shaw

Corrie never understood why her mother named her Corrina Ananda, and was always perplexed by her middle name....
....until she found yoga  -  Ananda is sanskrit for bliss!

Corrie has been practising classic Ashtanga yoga for over ten years, studying under many of the senior Ashtanga yogis, including Sharath, Manju Jois, John Scott, David Williams, David Swenson and Annie Pace.  Corrie's main self-practise teachers have been Alex Medin and Philippa Asher. Corrie is committed to teaching authentic Ashtanga Yoga and can be available to cover daily Mysore classes in the London area.

Corrie occasionally enjoys exploring different styles of yoga and has been particularly touched by the work of Seane Corn and Max Strom.
All influences combined provide great inspiration for Corrie's Vinyasa classes, which are strong, energetic and from the heart!

Corrie holds an American Alliance internationally recognised teaching certification.
